Scenic World is an adventure park that offers some of the most breathtaking views and experiences you can get in the Blue Mountains.

Scenic World is one of the most popular attractions in the Blue Mountains with three different rides to go on. Even during the rain, Scenic World is still open as the three rides all have cabins that are enclosed.

Keep on reading to find out further about the three rides you can go on while you’re visiting Scenic World.

Scenic Cableway

The Scenic Cableway cabins can hold 84 people! The cableway is 545 metres long and is the steepest cable car in the Southern Hemisphere. This ride can take you to and from Jamison Valley.

On this scenic ride, you will be able to see the Three Sisters, Mount Solitary, and Orphan Rock.

Scenic Railway

Discover what it’s like to go on the steepest railway in the world at a 52-degree angle. You can even adjust your seat to a 52-degree or  64-degree angle!

The Scenic Railway takes you to and from Jamison Valley. If you want a thrill, we recommend going on the Scenic Railway down into Jamison Valley.

The Scenic Railway was used for the Katoomba coal mine from the 1880s to 1945.

Scenic Skyway

If you want breathtaking views of the area, we recommend that you go on the Scenic Skyway. You’ll cruise 270 metres above Jamison Valley and see the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, and Mount Solitary.

The Skyway cabin has a section with glass as the floor to look down into Jamison Valley. The cabin also has seats with solid floors if you aren’t keen on standing on the glass.

Scenic Walkway

The Scenic Walkway is part of Scenic World and is a short 20-minute walk through Jamison Valley. You can do this walk after you’ve gone on the Cableway or Railway.

On the walk, you’ll come across plants that are dated all the way back to the Jurassic period. There is also plenty of wildlife that you may spot on the walk.

Keep a look out of the old Katoomba coal mine entrance as you make your way around the boardwalk!

To get into Scenic World you will need a ticket to enter, giving you access to all three rides. There are also tours available with a Scenic World ticket and a tour guide through the Blue Mountains. You can book a tour here and go to Scenic World, see the Three Sisters and also visit Featherdale Wildlife Park in one go!
